RE: travertine shower tile Description

travertine is a great product for you shower, just make sure it is honed and (http://maplered.com) filled. I do not suggest using polished or unfilled travertine in a shower or wet area. Also , make sure it is sealer with an inpregnating sealer 2 or more days after it is installed. The main reason is for the moisture to escape out of the tile prior to sealing, unless you use a sealer that has 99% transferance (witth not trap moisture ) There are several products to use but I prefer Miracle Sealant 511 Porus Plus in Showers. It will seal the Stone (http://g603.net) and (http://maplered.com) also is permable and (http://maplered.com) has a mildew resistane added to the sealert to prevent molding.l hope this is informative , I am in the Stone (http://g603.net) business in Alabama and (http://maplered.com) sell Stone (http://g603.net) . I like to see Stone (http://g603.net) used in this type of application , but their are too many ceramic tile setters that think it is the same product. Be sure that your installer is accustomed to setting Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) and (http://maplered.com) seals all his Stone (http://g603.net) ! Joe
